OneCut legal
Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use
Version 2026-08-25, effective 25 August 2026. English translation; the French version prevails.
1. Seller and scope
Lucas Scariot, French sole trader (micro-entrepreneur), 5 Square Laperrine, 89000 Auxerre, France — SIREN 833 441 066 — SIRET 833 441 066 00028 — registered with the RNE, not the RCS — VAT FR91833441066.
These terms apply to adult consumers worldwide. French law applies without depriving consumers of more protective mandatory rules in their country of residence.
2. Service, ordering and limits
OneCut accepts MP4, MOV, M4V and WebM files, orders them first by embedded recording-time metadata and then by filename or file date where necessary, applies the offered trim, caption, colour and format options, and delivers one finished MP4.
A signed-in user can retain finished videos in a library, create a creator profile, share a video by an unlisted link and submit a video for approval before public publication. Only renders started while signed in join the library.
Formats, size limits, clip counts, options and the price confirmed before upload form part of the order. The user must check the proposed order before submitting.
3. Price and payment
The first eligible 1080p export is free up to 10 clips and 2 GB. Current one-off prices are €2.90 for 1080p, €4.90 for 1440p and €6.90 for 4K. There is no subscription or renewal.
The final amount, including applicable taxes, and currency appear before payment. Stripe Adaptive Pricing may offer a local conversion. Stripe processes payment; OneCut does not receive complete card details.
4. Order and evidence
Before upload, the customer accepts this identified version, confirms being at least 18, expressly requests immediate performance and acknowledges that withdrawal ends when the finished video is made available.
OneCut records the version, language and server timestamps with the order. Paid exports also require Stripe's checkout terms acceptance. A contract summary and durable bilingual copy of these terms are emailed.
5. Delivery, availability and refunds
Delivery is due within 24 hours of a complete submission and, for paid orders, confirmed payment. A terminal paid-render failure triggers an automatic full refund.
Source clips are deleted within 24 hours after completion. Without an account, the output remains available for seven days and the customer must keep a copy. For a render started while signed in, a copy of the finished video and thumbnail remains in the library until the user deletes it.
Trash immediately removes public access and retains the video for 30 days. Account deletion immediately blocks access and schedules account data and video deletion within 30 days, subject to legal obligations. Status and unlisted links are confidential: anyone receiving one may access the relevant content.
6. Withdrawal
Before full performance, consumers may use /withdrawal or the model form below. After verification using a one-time link sent to the order address, OneCut cancels processing, removes access, deletes media and fully refunds any payment.
Once the finished video has been made available following the express request, withdrawal ends. Mandatory conformity, complaint and mediation rights remain.
7. Content, visibility and technical licence
The customer warrants that they hold all necessary rights and permissions. Illegal, infringing, unlawfully violent, sexually abusive, rights-violating content and attempts to bypass security are prohibited.
For the chosen retention period, the customer grants OneCut a non-exclusive, worldwide and limited licence solely to receive, store, technically copy, transform, secure, deliver, display under the chosen visibility, moderate and delete the content. OneCut acquires no ownership.
Anyone with an unlisted link can access that video. Public publication requires individual approval. OneCut may refuse or remove content for safety, rights, privacy, illegality or breach of these terms. A published video is immutable in OneCut; duplication creates a new private video that requires separate approval before publication.
8. Mandatory digital conformity guarantee
Consumers benefit from the mandatory French legal conformity guarantee for digital content and services. For a one-off digital service, defects appearing within two years after supply are covered under statutory conditions. Consumers may request conformity free of charge and, where conditions are met, a price reduction or termination. This guarantee is separate from any commercial warranty.
9. Availability, liability and intellectual property
OneCut may reasonably interrupt service for maintenance, security or external events. OneCut is responsible for foreseeable direct loss caused by breach. Nothing limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, mandatory guarantees or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
OneCut software, brand, interface and editorial content are protected. Separate rights in the open-source CLI remain governed by its published licence.
10. Complaints and mediation
First complain at support@onecut.mov, [required before commercial launch], or the seller's postal address. After an unresolved prior written complaint, consumers may use this mediator free of charge: [approved mediator required before commercial launch], [address required], [website required].
11. Accounts, records and versions
The user may request account deletion from the account area. OneCut may suspend an account or remove access where necessary to secure the service, comply with law or enforce these terms.
Each terms version is identified by date and remains at a stable URL. The version recorded with an order governs it. If a clause is invalid, the others remain effective.
